Community Clubs: Canute Lunch ClubSocial Organisations: Knutsford can boast of a large array of social organisations and community clubs, to accommodate all.  From toddler groups to our local Thursday Club, there is something for everyone.

41 Club 41 Club was formed in 1945 to provide a way for members of Round Table to continue their friendships after retirement from Round Table at the then obligatory age of 40.

The full name is “The Association of Ex-Round Tablers’ Clubs” and it forms part of “The Round Table Family”.

58 Club A ladies club who meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.  They meet in the Jubilee Hall, Knutsford.  Speakers, outings, events ….. Ring 01565 634863 or email judith.wright7279@yahoo.com for more details.
Boothsmere WI Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7.30pm at St Vincent’s Church Hall. Ring 01565 653701 or 01565 632818 for more details.
Cheshire BSA Owners Club A motorbike club that meets at The Whipping Stocks pub on the second Tuesday and the last Thursday of each month. Time 7.45pm. Telephone 07809 489412 for further details.
Crosstown Bowling & Social Club Well stocked bar competitive priced with regular entertainment including professional artists, quiz nights, race nights, competitions and bingo.  Visit their website for more details.
High Legh Community Observatory A community of amateur astronomers who in 2014 built an astronomical observatory on Abbey Leys Farm in High Legh, Cheshire.  Their “mission” is to provide an open resource to all and bring hands-on astronomy to anyone who wants to learn our about universe.

Every Friday they hold observing sessions open to the public as well as for specific events such as meteor showers and eclipses and visiting groups.  The group holds monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month with lectures being given by experts in astronomy and space research. They are held at St John’s Church High Legh – all are welcome!

Inner Wheel The Knutsford Inner Wheel meets on the third Thursday of the month at the Golden Pheasant, Plumley at 7.15pm.  For further information visit the district’s website. 
Knutsford Bowling Club Keep fit and active, meet new friends and play one of the most enjoyable sports for a fraction of the price of other activities.  You can play socially or join one of our many teams that play in various leagues, or  just come along and enter our regular friendly competitions, which are held mainly on a Sunday, for people with different skills.

Socially, we hold popular social events in our licensed clubhouse. Bingo/ Quiz nights/ Play your Cards Right and hot pot suppers to name but a few.

Knutsford & District Lions Knutsford Lions was set up in 1976 and over the years has been actively involved in a wide variety of community activities and projects in Knutsford and surrounding areas.   The Club has an active social calendar including walks, theatre trips, visits and opportunities for up and coming rhymers (some would like to think they are poets!). Membership is open to men and women of any age (our Club has a similar number of men and women).  Visitors to our meetings are welcome – Contact Us if you would like to know more about what we do or if you are interested in helping us in any way.
Knutsford & District Motor Club KDMC Members participate in a variety of Motorsport activities.

These events vary from small club-level events such as Grass Autotesting and Navigational Scatters up to National Level Stage Rally Events.  In addition, many members assist events by Marshalling.

Knutsford Floral Design Club Knutsford Floral Design Club (formerly known as Knutsford Flower Club) has been established many years and just keeps getting bigger and better.The aim of our club is to encourage the love of flowers & plants and to demonstrate how you can use them in decorative and creative arrangements. To achieve this they hold monthly meetings with demonstrations of floral arrangements by qualified and talented area and national demonstrators.
Knutsford Laughter Club  Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha. Members meet to laugh for no reason… help to improve your health, self-esteem and wellbeing. Combine playful laughter exercises interspersed with deep breathing. Meetings are held each Tuesday at Knutsford Methodist Church, time 7pm.
Knutsford Musical Theatre Co KMTC was founded in 1943 under the name of Knutsford Amateur Operatics Society (KAOS). Since then, they have staged a variety of productions from their very first, The Mikado, to their recent engertic favourite, FAME the Musical.The decision was made in 2011 to change the name to the now known Knutsford Musical Theatre Company (KMTC), to reflect the style of the company. The rehearsal venue also changed to Shawheath Social Club, on Mobberley Road.
Knutsford Ornithological Society Indoor meetings are held on the fourth Friday of every month (except August) currently in the excellent function room at the Jubilee Hall, right in the heart of the Town, meeting up at 7:45pm for an 8pm start. Unusually for Ornithological societies Field Trips are held every month of the year, some lesser organisations get out together only between October and May, some never, but with the KOS it’s real value for your £10 per annum subscription!
Knutsford Photographic Society The society is a friendly, enthusiastic group of photographers who aim to have fun while not always taking themselves too serious. Like minded people, with an interest in photography, who meet once a week throughout most of the year.

The Society meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.55pm, in the Old School Rooms, at the Unitarian Chapel on Brook Street, Knutsford, WA16 8DY.  New members are always welcome.

Knutsford Rock Choir Knutsford’s local Rock Choir is run by vocal teacher Kathryn Davies. A local community choir first and foremost, which is also part of the national Rock Choir network.

The choir meets in the Unitarian School Rooms on a Monday evening 7.45pm to 9.30pm.

Knutsford SciBar Knutsford SciBar is a group with an interest in science who meet once a month for an informal discussion – with a drink – about a scientific or technical topic, led by an invited expert.The meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, unless it is a Bank Holiday in which case the meeting is on the second Monday. Usually there is no meeting in August.

Time: 7.30pm – arrive early to get a drink and a good seat.

Door charge: £2 (free for students and under 21s).

Knutsford Scottish Country Dance Club A friendly, sociable group who are affiliated to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. They meet weekly to enjoy Scottish country dancing and newcomers are always welcome.
Time: 7.30pm, each Wednesday evening, at Knutsford Methodist Church Hall.
Knutsford Star Choir Knutsford Star Choir is the ladies’ choir to be part of if you are looking for a warm welcome, no pressure, good fun and great music.  Each year they raise thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

The Knutsford Star Choir rehearses every Thursday evening in The Music Room at Knutsford Leisure Centre.

Mereside Band Mereside Brass is a concert & contest brass band based in Plumley, between Northwich & Knutsford in Cheshire; which is led by Musical Director Mike Phenton. The band have performed all types of music around Cheshire including Arley Hall, Tatton Park, Middlewich, Winsford, Buxton and Chatsworth House. They have also toured on a number of occasion’s in Europe playing in the Rhine Valley Germany, Luxembourg City, Belgium and Maastricht, Holland.
Tatton Garden Society One of Britain’s foremost; botanic and horticultural societies, with its own 11 hectare (28 acre) arboretum and botanic site open to the public and which is one of Cheshire’s “Gardens of Distinction“.

Tatton Garden Society was formed in 1962. Its purpose is the promotion of science and research in horticulture for the benefit of the public.

The Tatton Singers The Tatton Singers are a mixed community choir based in Knutsford with a tradition of presenting quality concerts of choral music. Formed in 1976, Tatton Singers are now a well-balanced choir of some seventy-six voices and have a reputation for dynamic music making. Weekly rehearsals enable this friendly choir to successfully present exciting and demanding works.
U3A The Knutsford and District U3A is part of the national network of U3A groups. It is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment, and provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment.  Skills and experiences are shared in a variety of ways through meetings, and social and group activities.
Vale Royal and Knutsford Ramblers The rambling club runs a coach every fortnight, giving members the opportunity to visit attractive walking locations such as North Wales, the Peak District, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales without the need for a long car journey.

Coach trips pick up from Frodsham, Weaverham, Northwich and Knutsford. At the destinations, four walks are offered of various grades, ranging from leisurely 5 / 6 mile walks, up to long hikes in the high fells. Whichever walk grade you chose though, you will be sure to see some beautiful scenery, enjoy sociable company, and get some exercise, all at the same time.

There is plenty of time for refreshments, and because you’re not driving, you can have a sleep on the coach on the way home.
