Knutsford Heath The Heath, KnutsfordJohn Collins Firework Display This year, due to the Bank Holiday falling before May Day, the Grand Firework Display will take place on Sunday 30th April 2023. The annual Grand Fireworks Display is provided by the kindness of John Collin’s Funfairs, to celebrate the Knutsford ‘Royal’ May Day. The display usually takes place on the Sunday, after May Day and at dusk on Knutsford Heath. The official car parking for Knutsford Fair is on the Little Heath and is arranged and manned by volunteers from the Knutsford District Scouts. Knutsford Royal May Day
Knutsford Town Centre Princess Street, Knutsford, CheshireKnutsford ‘Royal’ May Day is the highlight of the town’s calendar and takes place every year on the first Saturday in May. However, in 2023 and due to the King's Coronation, May Day will take place the following week on 13th May. The procession through the town and the crowning of the May Queen began in 1864 by the Vicar of Knutsford, the Rev. Robert Clowes.
